In 2016 NNU was moved and merged with other laboratories in Brede forming Environmental Archaeology & Materials Sceince (M&M).
NNU was founded in 1941 and homed a variety of disciplines like Geology and Pollen analysis - Macrofossil - Dendrochronology and Wood identification.
These disciplines are continued within M&M.
NNU has colletions of reference which are among the largests in Europe and covers Northern Europe, Greenland and the Middle East.
On this site, however, only reports containing examines from Dendrochronology and Wood identifications are displayed.
