Tagkonstruktion, kor og tårn
I alt er 24 prøver af Quercus
sp., eg, undersøgt, 15 er dateret. 16 havde splint bevaret,
heraf én med barkkant. 21 prøver er udta get af tagkonstruktionen
over kirkens kor, og 3 prøver er udta get af løstliggende
tømmerstykker, som stammer fra tårnets tømmerkonstruktion.
Kor

Roof construction, chancel and tower
In all 24 samples of Quercus
sp., oak, were examined. 15 are da ted. 16 had sapwood preserved, of
which one had bark edge. 21 samples were taken from the roof construction
above the chan cel, and 3 samples were taken from the scattered timber
pieces, which originate from the tower construction.
Chancel
The dated samples relate to 3 periods
in time.
1st period is represented by 7 samples: North side, rafters 8, 9 and 10 counted from west and south side, rafters 8-11 counted from west. The curves from the dated samples cross-date and can be averaged to one curve of 108 years. The outermost pre served tree-ring was formed in 1276, close to the bark edge (19 years of sapwood). The felling date for the trees from which the samples derive can be estimated to c. 1277. These samples were taken from rafters located at the eastern end of the roof con struction of the chancel.
2nd period is represented by one ashlar piece from the north side (1st from west). The outermost preserved tree-ring was formed in 1497. The sample had two rings of sapwood pre served. The felling date for the tree from which the sample derives can be estimated to c. 1515. The sample was taken from an ashlar piece located at the western end of the roof construc tion of the chancel.
3rd period is represented by five samples: north side 7th and 8th rafters from west, and south side rafters 4, 5 and 7 from west, plus the 4th ashlar piece from west. The outermost pre served tree-ring was formed in 1694 (13 years of sapwood). The felling time for the trees from which the samples derive is esti mated to c. 1700.
Tower
The dated sample from the tower, represented by the "Anke rem" (should probably be ankerrem, which means anchor wall plate) is dated to 1686/87, winter felling. The curve from the sample cross-dates with the dated curves from the 3rd period from the chancel, and can be averaged with these to a curve of 78 years.
