Planke, tømmer og vandrør
Tre prøver af Pinus sp., fyr, er undersøgt. Prøven
fra vandrøret havde bark bevaret. Én prøve er dateret
- den fra planken. Yngste bevarede årring er dannet i 1755. Da der
er stor sandsynlighed for at de sidste målte 20 år er splintved,
kan fældningstidspunktet for træet, der har leveret tømmer
til planken fastsættes til anden halvdel af 1700-tallet.

NYTORV, KØBENHAVNPlank, timber and waterpipe
Three samples of Pinus sp., pine were examined. The sample from the waterpipe had bark preserved. One sample was dated - the one from the plank. The outermost preserved tree-ring was formed in AD 1755. Since there is a fair probability that the last measured 20 rings are sapwood, the felling date for the tree, from which the sample comes, is estimated to the second half of the 1700's.
